Imprisoned in Iran

Book Recommendation: A good friend of Elin and mine, Dan, whom we serve with in YWAM Kona wrote this book. It's a facinating story about him being wrongly accused in Iran and imprisoned for several weeks. You can pick up a copy at ywampublishing.com or amazon.com. Great read!!!

Day to Day

The little one just keeps on growing!!!! Elin definitely suits pregnancy, she looks beautiful.

Below is a quick snap-shot of a day in my life.

8am: Check emails in Discipleship Training School Office
- received email from Kona staff member who is on outreach in Pakistan. He wrote that yesterday, he accidently touched an electric fence and had to be rushed to hospital. The doctor said it was a close call, but gave him the all clear.
- prayed for the team and was reminded of a quote “God doesn’t promise us a calm passage, only a safe landing”

9am-12pm: DTS Outreach Training
- we have about 30 DTS Leaders taking students on Outreach in 9 weeks time. I will spend 3 hours training them each week until they leave.
- Some subject’s we will be discussing: how to effectively work with long term contacts on the field / keeping ‘evangelism’ and ‘mercy ministries’ at the heart of the outreach / dealing with emergency’s / leading well.

12pm: Lunch with friend Samuel from Finland.

1pm-3pm: Chair the DTS Leadership Meeting

- this team gives oversight to all activities under the DTS.

3pm-5pm: Debrief staff who just returned from the field.

5:30pm: Dinner with Elin

It's a girl!!!!

Last Friday Elin and I went to the hospital to find out if we were having a little boy or girl and to do the 20 week check up. It was probably the most amazing 45 minutes of my life. As I watched our baby moving around on the computer screen I was in complete awe!! She’s definitely active!! The nurse said all the measurements were fine and the baby was at the right weight (390grams). It made me think on the drive home – how can people not believe in God when there are miracles happening around us everyday?

p.s. I was able to feel the baby move the other day……unbelievable!!!!

p.p.s Thank you again for all the prayers, please keep them coming.
