1 month old

Matea is now a little over 4 weeks old - time has really flown by. My (Jon) parents arrived a couple of weeks ago and it's been great having them around. Elin is loving every moment being a mum and is doing an incredible job - I love watching her and Matea together.

This week, we will start 'Staff Training' which we will be involved in leading. The 50+ staff arriving this weekend will go on to be leaders in the coming Discipleship Training School's starting Sept 24th. These DTS's will be focused towards: community development, chrildren at risk, working with churches, mercy ministries amoungt other things (www.uofnkona.edu/dts).

Matea Leilani Morris

Our little girl is finally here!! Her name is Matea (pronounced Ma-teh-ah) Leilani Morris. Matea means 'Gift from God' and Leilani 'Heavenly Flower'. We are sooo exited. She is beautiful. Born at 3:04am on July 30th. She is 8.1 pounds (3.65 kg). Thanks so much to everyone for the prayers.

getting close!!

10pm: Just about to head to bed. Had a great day teaching the new staff who have just arrived at the Kona base for Staff Training. These guys and girls will be apart of leading the Discipleship Training School starting July 2nd. We will have teams from this school most likely doing their outreaches in the Middle East and Asia. It's so exciting to be apart of their lives and to dream together about what God will do in the lives of the students arriving soon.

Elin: will be at 36 weeks this Saturday. So exciting to think we will meet 'our little girl' in just a few weeks. Thanks for your prayers. I will post some more pictures on our newsletter which I will send out next week.
